It’s official. Everything’s bigger in Texas.
Bigger heart. Bigger hustle. Bigger drive to bring deliciousness to Dallas.
At least that’s the case with the fierce crew that works tirelessly to deepen access to good-for-you food in DFW communities. At its core, Territory is based on the belief that incredible things happen when we eat well and move often. We’ve spent the last 7 years (with our start in DC) working to make the food part sustainable, delicious, and rooted locally – as that matters a bunch to us.
Our personalized nutrition platform serves a variety of dietary preferences that all begin with with the same anti-inflammatory foundation. We believe amazing taste comes in small batches and supporting local, like-minded businesses is the way to get there.
The DFW-based team partners with a network of local Dallas chefs to co-create nutrient-dense, flavor-forward meals. Our meals are crafted in their local kitchens and we deliver them to a nearby pick up spot (think local businesses with wellness inspired missions) or directly your home. Our meals arrive fully assembled, ready-to-eat, which means eating well while super busy is no longer only reserved for superheros.
The inherently complicated problem we work to solve every week is tackled by an incredibly mission-driven, resilient, and compassionate team. From operations to community building to culinary and everywhere in between, it’s an extraordinary bunch. Please meet our DFW team …
Once upon a time, I owned a couple of CrossFit gyms. As fate would have it one of them was home to the second ever Territory fridge.
Turkey Chili Verde. Put all the green stuff on it.
Winning the company dance off. Nobody knew we were competing. I did, though.
Dallas is a lot weirder than people think. You can find me at the theater, impromptu dance offs, talking about literature with folks that are into that kind of thing.
Before moving to Dallas, I was living in DC. One thing I miss about it is Jose Andres. He is such a cool guy. I met him once and he gave me the personal phone numbers to all of his chef buddies in southern Spain (casual, we know). I would love to get to hang with that guy. I’d cook and just do stuff I learned from his show that used to be on the local PBS station in DC, “Made in Spain”. His Apple Manchego Salad is a life changer.
Before I joined Territory, I was navigating the world as a health and fitness professional solo. I was coaching CrossFit and varsity basketball while also working as a nutrition coach and personal chef. It was insanely fun, but also exhausting – I felt like I was capped with the number of people I could impact.
I’m pretty obsessed with Chef Adam’s Asian Chicken with Vegetable Fried Rice & Sesame Ginger Sauce. I could probably eat that meal almost every day. No hacks over here – I eat it exactly as it comes because Chef Adam is a culinary wizard.
I think my favorite Territory memory was my first all-hands meeting, just a couple of months after I joined the team. I got to meet teammates across all of our geos. It’s always really fun to get to interact with everyone in person since we are spread across different cities.
Drinking overpriced coffee on patios.
My husband – we have different work schedules and rarely get to eat together. Sharing a meal with him always puts a smile on my face. I think I would make steak with crab risotto. We fancy.
I was working in corporate America and coaching CrossFit part-time. I wanted to be in the gym more chatting with people about proper nutrition and helping them reach their goals with fitness. I was fortunate enough to meet a Territory employee before Territory launched in Dallas and the rest is history! I knew upon talking to the founders and other employees that this was the company for me. Now I get to experience ‘job love’ every day.
The Vegan Tofu and Potato Curry Bowl Over Brown Rice. I dump it over a huge bowl of spinach and add coconut aminos.
You can usually find me lifting weights in Deep Ellum or running the streets of Downtown. My favorite activity is running/walking the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve on the weekends.
Hmmm, that’s a tough one! Zoey Deschanel would be a great dinner date because #girlcrush, but mostly because she is doing some awesome things with The Farm Project as well as her drive to make good food more accessible to everyone.
I was a full time strength and conditioning coach and spin instructor. Before Territory made its way down to DFW, I was recruited by the Territory Head of Sales to join the team. After learning more about the mission and culture, I knew this was the right company for me.
That is a hard question to answer, however, I LOVE the Orange Chicken with Broccoli & White Rice by Chef Adam. I pretty much eat only that meal for the full week when it’s on the menu.
My favorite Territory memory was the last night of our annual All Hands meeting in Dallas. This was my first time to meet the entire Territory team and we all played a fun and very hilarious game of Fish Bowl.
Standard activities are working out, hanging with friends and taking my pup to the park. Outside of that I go to a ton of shows and music festivals. Music is like my utopia, especially live music.
Two people come to mind immediately. My contemporary choice is Aubrey Marcus, the CEO of Onnit. I would choose the Turkey Bacon Burger w/ Sweet Potato Wedges by Chef Adam. It seems like Aubrey’s style and I love that meal.
My other choice would be Nikola Tesla. If you’re not familiar with his work, it is definitely worth checking out. He was a genius and light years before his time. I would choose the Mediterranean Chicken with Garlic Hummus and Ethiopian Flat Bread for me and since Tesla was European and grew up in Austria I would choose the Bavarian Braised Chicken w/ Warm Cabbage Salad & Dijon Ranch by Gourmaleo for him.
