SuperFd is a sports nutrition catering company focused on high quality, sustainable ingredients that provide complete nutrition for everyday performance.
Led by talented Chef Robbie Wood, SuperFd is the official caterer for the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals. They also fuel the Washington Nationals, Spirit, United, Mystics and Wizards, and other teams across the country.
SuperFd’s meals are not only for athletes and fitness buffs– the local and sustainably sourced ingredients in each meal are intentionally paired to amplify the nutritional benefits for everyone.
Each SuperFd burger on Territory’s menu pairs a sustainable animal protein and a plant-based ingredient with a complimentary nutrition profile. Using a combination of animal and plant-based ingredients also reduces the impact on the environment.
Pastured beef burger – the burger is a blend of beef from a family-owned farm in Shenandoah and gently cooked red and golden beets. Red meat is high in iron, which transports oxygen to muscles. Beets are high in nitrates, which studies show may improve circulation and oxygen use in working muscles. The overall effect of this burger is to help promote oxygen flow and circulation.
Free-range turkey burger – the burger is a blend of free-range turkey from Pennsylvania and a house-made dehydrated mushroom blend. Mushrooms are one of the only plant sources of Vitamin D, which is essential for strong bones, muscle growth, strength, and immunity. Turkey is an extremely high-value protein and a good source of phosphorus, a mineral essential for healthy bones. The overall effect of this burger is to promote bone health and muscle function.
Salmon belly burger – the burger is a blend of sustainably farmed Scottish salmon belly and garbanzo beans. Salmon belly is a rich source of omega-3 fats, which are anti-inflammatory and promote cardiovascular health by lowering cholesterol. Garbanzo beans contain a plant sterol that interferes with the body’s absorption of cholesterol, which in turn helps lower blood cholesterol levels. The overall effect of this burger is to reduce inflammation and promote healthy cholesterol levels.
To complement the burgers, SuperFd has also crafted intentional condiments. While most condiments are high in sugar and low in nutrients, Chef Robbie’s condiments contain no sugar and have a probiotic or fermented element.
Gochujang ketchup – the ketchup contains gochujang, a Korean fermented pepper paste. Not only is it good for gut health, but the capsaicin in peppers is an antioxidant that can also aid in boosting metabolism.
Kimchi mustard – the mustard contains kimchi and gochujang, which are both fermented elements. Kimchi has incredible health benefits, including gut and colon protection, anticancer, antioxidative and antiaging properties, brain health promotion, immune promotion, and skin health promotion.
Horseradish Avocado Aioli – the aioli is made of avocado instead of mayo, which provides a healthier fat profile and significantly more fiber. Horseradish is known to have antibacterial properties, and can potentially help fight infections.
